Registered Massage Therapy

Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.

Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained and improved; and physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of Massage Therapy (CMTO).

Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic medicine combines modern scientific knowledge and research with traditional forms of natural medicine. It can be used to diagnose, prevent and treat new and old health concerns. Treatments are specific, evidence based and customized to meet your physical, lifestyle, mental and emotional needs. Naturopathic therapies stimulate the body’s innate ability to heal by removing obstacles to health and encouraging healthy lifestyle habits. Our naturopathic doctor offers individualized dietary and supplement treatment plans, lifestyle counselling, herbal medicines and acupuncture to help you reach your health goals. If more information about your health is necessary, specialized laboratory tests like IgG food sensitivity testing, comprehensive stool analyses and DUTCH hormone testing can be order to take a deeper look at what’s happening and guide treatment.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a manual form of therapy which emphasizes the interrelationship between structure and function of the human body. It follows a belief in the body’s ability to self-heal and self-regulate when free from any obstructions, restriction of motion or bony malalignment. It focuses on the root cause of pain and dysfunction rather than just the symptoms. This form of therapy looks at the body as a single, integrated unit and through structural manipulation can encourage nervous, circulatory and lymphatic flow as well as have effects on a wide variety of issues such as, but not limited to: back pain, joint pain, headaches, digestive problems, and repetitive strain injuries
